|
The Sports DTS at Discovery Centre begins with a 12 week lecture phase covering several different biblical topics, leading students to grow in faith and connect in community. Students are encouraged to develop personal disciplines such as Bible reading and daily Quiet Time with God.
After the lecture phase there follows an 8 week outreach. This is a challenging and exciting time when students get a chance to put their faith into action and get experience in strategic evangelism and missions. Flexibility and adapatability are necessary as are patience and a good sense of humour. Students learn to rely on God as they see him at work in their own lives and in the people around them. |

The traditional DTS course units/topics will be complemented with sports focused modules, spending one week (Monday-Friday) on each unit. |

| Outreach Phase | ||
After the lecture phase and a short break comes the 8 week Outreach Phase. Here students are immersed in local Ugandan village life, away from the Discovery Centre base, implementing in a practical way things they have learnt in the Lecture Phase. |
